battery.lbr 4 KB Submitted by: Warren Young on Jan 18, 2015
Schematic battery symbols with 0.1" spaced pads on the PCB side, for connection to off-board batteries. One footprint was made for the PPA battery board, and uses 2-pin Molex KK connectors, one vertical, one horizontal-mount. The other is currently used on the PIMETA v2 and shows as two battery symbols in the schematic, with two pairs of pads on 0.1" centers on the PCB, for connection to dual off-board 9 V batteries. The PIMETA v2 puts these batteries in series, but the connections aren’t hard-wired in the library, so you can use it for parallel batteries instead.

“Dual diodes.” One footprint I used in my STEPS and YJPS power supply boards to allow parts choice of diodes in the TO-220 or barrel packages, up to DO-201 size. The other was created for the PINT and is presently used in the PIMETA v2, which allowed barrel diodes up to DO-41 plus SMT diodes like the common S1A on the bottom side of the board.
