Version History
Windows Version
Version 1.14, released 2001.02.26
- Every page that dealt in length units can now handle millimeters
in addition to meters, centimeters, feet and inches. (The Palm OS
version had this feature since 1.10.)
- Fixed a few minor bugs that crept into 1.13. Also one fairly
major one: the AoV page wouldn't recalculate until you moved to a
different page and then came back.
- Several internal changes to bring the code bases of the Palm OS
and the Windows versions closer together.
Version 1.13, released 2001.02.05
- A few small tweaks over the 1.12 version, for the final
synch-up with the Palm OS version. The most visible tweak is
the help file changes made since the last release (f/Calc
for Palm OS 1.12.)
Version 1.12, never released
- This was an internal milestone, marking the point where the
Windows version became roughly feature-equivalent to f/Calc
for Palm OS 1.12.
Version 1.01, released 1998.09.16
- When you change the unit measurement in some of the tabs, it
now converts the corresponding Distance field for you. Scenario:
you enter 3 meters, decide you want to do this in centimeters
instead, so you click on the "cm" radio button, which converts
the Distance field to read 300 cm.
- f/Calc now removes unnecessary trailing zeros from field
values.
Version 1.00a, released 1998.09.05
- Cleaned up the help file a bit. Also fixed the help file
so that it displays correctly on all systems. (The navigation
pane, among other things, was left out on all systems but my
development one.)
- Fixed the tab order of the fields in the program.
Version 1.00, released 1998.08.30
Palm OS Version
Version 1.14, 2001.02.26
- This release brings the Windows and Palm OS version into
synch, as close as the platform differences allow. This will
make future additions simpler, and it ensures that if one program
has a bug in the core logic, they're probably both broken in
exactly the same way. :)
- Fixed a UI bug on the "f Numbers" page: it was toggling
calculation modes whenever you tapped on a checkbox, whether or
not that actually changed the active checkbox.
Version 1.12, released 2000.10.04
Version 1.11, released 2000.10.03
- Updated the Spot Meter formula to a simpler one. It
doesn't yield results much different from the old one, but I
understand this one!
Version 1.10, released 2000.10.02
- Initial release. This has several new features over
f/Calc for Windows 1.01. The main ones are the saveable
preferences and the customizable rounding rules.
Tcl/Tk Version
Version 1.00, released 1999.06.25
- Initial release. This is roughly equivalent to f/Calc
for Windows 1.01.
